A Question of Morality

Every day, every hour, every minute, every second, presents an opportunity, gives us a choice, between good or bad, right of wrong. Two paths, like the symbolic fork in the road. It is not based on your religion, or the road to heaven or hell. It is based on integrity, and the measure of your character. It is a question of morality.

They say a good measuring tool is to look back on your life, as if you were dying. Do you look back with a sense of pride towards your achievements, or resentment and remorse? Is not the key to think back fondly of your memories? To not regret what you have done or what you never had the chance to do?

It comes back to that choice, of taking the quick, easy path or the long and often times, bumpy one. At the end, however, there are no pots of gold, no hidden treasures. What you will find though, when you look deep within yourself, is a personal satisfaction, that you have lived your life with the utmost respect and virtue.
