Healing

It's a shame
How we run
And we hide
From the darkness
From the pain
That is where
We face demons
Confront our fears
Swallow our pride
Then we learn
Heal our wounds
Truly grow stronger
Our power returns
Truth is revealed
Inner light shines
Wisdom glows bright
Hurt has meaning
Peace is found
Life has purpose
The cycle ends
Our souls enlighten
Love is born

Melody in the Rain

The sky has opened up
And delivers its tiny
Gifts of purity and truth
For all to feel.

There is a melody
In the millions of
Drops of rain that
Soothes my soul.

I am reminded
Of childhood dreams
And loving how large
My life seemed then.

I imagine the sadness
Washing away
To reveal that resilient
Free spirit ready to soar.

I am the sole master
Of my destiny
And the creator of wonders
I have yet to discover.
